EAR is the Southwest’s largest provider of broadcast, live streaming and content management systems. We provide factory authorized products, integration and services for over 300 of the industries best manufacturers. We can help you find that perfect replacement add-on part, or a complete system of hardware and software for your specific workflow (check out our design-build guide for helpful advice).

When you are ready for an upgrade or developing a new start-up, choosing the right people to help design and build your system is not just about success or failure, but reliability, efficiency and return on your investment for many years to come. Over the life of a system the relative cost of the initial purchase can easily become secondary to operational costs. The potential recurring expense of training, downtime and inefficiency due to complexity in operation typically over shadow the initial system purchase price.

Command & Control

When split seconds can means millions of dollars, 24×7 mission critical real-time monitoring can mean success or disaster. Recent projects with McCarthy Building Companies and Koch Industries highlight EAR’s command and control integration to manage and monitor solar power fields remotely across the globe. They chose EAR to build their new best of class corporate command and control center.

Government Council Chambers

The city of Phoenix is the largest metropolis in the Southwest. Like most larger cities they broadcast their city council meetings live and on demand via the internet. A special challenge to their operation was allowing control of their board meetings from the City Channel 11 studios located a block away and across the street. The only practical way to connect the two facilities was existing city fiber runs between the facilities.

EAR provided management and installation, our partner SEG provided design engineering and support for the deployment. The fiber connectivity supports almost daily production including high definition video, audio and robotic camera control. The existing lighting in the main council chambers was replaced with LED fixtures resulting in a net cost savings due to decreased energy and reduced air-conditioning usage. EAR also provided continuing maintenance and support under a city contract.

Education & Broadcasting

To accommodate explosive growth in social and traditional video media, University of Nevada Las Vegas invested in Avid’s iNews, Nexis shared storage and Interplay production asset management system upgrades in 2019-2020. UNLV required complete upgrades for their journalism iNews content creation, massive shared storage and Interplay asset management systems.

Leveraging server virtualization and UNLV’s existing multi-million dollar VMware environment, they we able to reduce their server count and operating costs while supporting 100’s of clients. The reliability and unparalleled performance of Avid and VMware was both the best of breed solution and the most cost effective for broadcast network quality and reliability. EAR provided Avid equipment, project management, system design and Avid/VMware support.
